Knights of Columbus vigorously defend the dignity of each human being at every stage of life by working with their parishes to build a culture of life and a civilization of love.
a. March for Life: Show public support for the right to life. Council 6125 is encouraged to participate in or sponsor St. Augustine March for Life in January.
b. Special Olympics: Celebrate the intrinsic worth and dignity of every single human being through the Special Olympics. Knights of Columbus councils can work with Special Olympics affiliates to determine how best to fund, sponsor or volunteer for events in the local community. (Kaz Cisowski – Leader)
c. Ultrasound Program: Save lives by helping women choose life by giving them the opportunity to view their unborn children on ultrasound machines at pro-life pregnancy centers. This initiative is funded by Knights of Columbus state and local councils with matching grants from the Supreme Council’s Culture of Life Fund.
d. Pregnancy Center Support: Help abortion-minded women to choose life by viewing their unborn children on ultrasound machines. Change public hearts and minds about abortion by showing love for both mother and child before and after birth.
